Spring Break Training

I spent spring break here in Champaign training with my teammates. It was so nice to finally be able to train outside again. Everything seemed to be in place last week, my arms felt good & training was excellent. I always love those training days when everything just seems to be working. It's a hard feeling to describe, but as an athlete you know it when it happens. Everything just sort of clicks.

I am getting ready to head to Georgia on Thursday. I've got my first track meet of the season on Friday and a half-marathon on Sunday. I'll also be staying in Georgia for the next week for a training camp. What about school you may ask? Well my secret is that I believe I have successfully mastered how to be a college student without actually being in class. The essential components of this recipe includes: having willing professors who also have a vested interest in what you are doing, being able to manage your time wisely, being willing to do independent learning and ask questions when needed, and to have an open mind to make it all work.
