Founded in 1810, The Hartford Financial Services Group is one of the largest insurance and investment companies based in the United States, with offices in the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil and Ireland, and has a long tradition of corporate social responsibility.

The Hartford's Group Benefits Division is a founding partner of the U.S. Paralympics organization, a division of the U.S. Olympic Committee that focuses on athletes with physical disabilities. The Hartford truly is an organization that cares about this partnership. Since 2003, they have supported both individual athletes and the entire Paralympic movement as a whole.

As an athlete ambassador, Anjali has the unique opportunity to share her story and the message of the ability philosophy of the Hartford with key brokers and policyholders through public speaking engagements and immersion events. The ability philosophy is built upon the assumption that people want to live active, independent, productive lives. The focus is on what each and every one of us can do—as athletes, employees, students, citizens—as opposed to what we cannot do.
